(XOS), a leading manufacturer and service provider of Class 5-8 battery electric vehicles, powertrains, charging infrastructure and fleet management software company, today announced it has entered into a strategic partnership with Allison Transmission, Inc. (: ALSN), the world’s largest manufacturer of fully automatic commercial transmissions and the leading manufacturer of hybrid electric propulsion systems and all-electric vehicles, to jointly develop Class 7 heavy-duty vehicles and 8 commercial electric vehicles.

Allison delivered initial eGen Power e-Axle hardware for integration, validation and testing in heavy-duty vehicle platforms designed and built by Xos. Allison will supply additional eGen Power 100S and 100D units to Xos throughout 2022.
