Charged: PennDOT Officials Discuss the Benefits of Electric Vehicles at W&J Webinar

The rise of electric vehicles continues across the United States – and it’s a tremendous rise. Sales of electric vehicles during the second quarter of this year accounted for 5.6% of the total automotive market, compared to 2.7% during the first quarter of 2021.

That bump was among the focal points brought home Wednesday morning during a webinar hosted by the Center for Energy Policy at Washington & Jefferson College. Two Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials, Colton Brown and Natasha Fackler, spoke virtually — and fundamentally — about electric vehicles, an industry that much of the population is still learning about.
