New agreement enables EV charging station operators to display real-time charger availability along with verified business information and attract more customers
Uberall, a global provider of hybrid customer experience (CX) solutions, today announced a partnership with Eco-Movement, the leading data platform for electric vehicle (EV) charging station data. In a world first, the partnership will enable EV charging station operators to showcase real-time charger data, including charging type, power and availability, as well as platform-verified business information. search, map and navigation.
“The shift from fuel-powered vehicles to electric vehicles is happening around the world, but a major barrier preventing consumers from buying electric cars is the uncertainty and difficulty in finding suitable charging stations nearby,” he said. said Florian Hübner, CEO and founder of Uberall. “To overcome this, it is essential that information about charging stations flows in real time from the company to the consumer.”
By 2027, there should be nearly three million charging stations worldwide, according to Statista. Although the number of charging points is increasing, it is not easy for drivers to locate the nearest charger that meets their needs and know that it is available, largely due to the difficulties encountered by charge point operators to manage and distribute their data. Eco-Movement helps solve this challenge by aggregating charging station data, including charger type and availability, into a uniform, accurate and comprehensive database.
“Too often charging station information found online is inaccurate, which can be very frustrating for EV drivers and charging station operators,” said Roderick van den Berg, CEO of Eco- Movement and founder of Eco-Movement. “Our goal at Eco-Movement is to ensure that drivers can rely on correct charger information and to help operators effectively present information about their chargers. We achieve this by leveraging machine learning and a full team of data specialists to ensure charging station information is put into a uniform, accurate and comprehensive database, and this new partnership will further assist CPOs in verifying detailed business information on listings and showcase this rich knowledge to the world.
Working with the EV Eco-Movement Data Platform gives CPOs full control over the management and distribution of their charging station data to services that help drivers find charging stations. The more information drivers have about the charging station and its location, the more confident they can trust it. Uberall CoreX brings it all together by enabling CPOs to maintain a complete and accurate online business profile for each large-scale charging station. With the addition of essential charging station data, powered by Eco-Movement, Uberall will be the first provider to offer a comprehensive online presence management solution for CPOs.
Compared to 2020, sales of new electric vehicles have more than doubled over the past year, bringing electric vehicle sales to about 5% of global passenger car sales, according to the International energy report 2022. This partnership will allow Uberall and Eco-Movement customers to establish themselves as leaders in the growing electric vehicle industry, providing convenience and confidence to drivers looking for a charging station near at their home.
